2021 Advent Giving Tree Program
Donations Needed for MoSC 2021 Advent Giving Tree Program
Even though it’s still fall, the Christmas holidays will be here before we know it. Below is the information for this year’s Ministry of Social Concerns (MoSC) Advent Giving Program.
MoSC will be supporting two organizations, People’s Place (peoplesplace2.com) and What is Your Voice (whatisyourvoice.com). Both nonprofits support shelters and counseling for abused women and their families. In addition, several needy families from the Cape Henlopen School System and from the St. Jude religious education program have been referred to our Ministry for assistance, as have the residents at the Lighthouse for Broken Wings group home (supportive housing for previously homeless). All will receive gift cards. Here’s how to contribute to the Ministry of Social Concerns program:
- Purchase $25 WalMart, Marshalls, or Wawa gift cards.
- Place the gift card(s) in an envelope and clearly mark “Social Concerns Advent Giving Tree” on the outside of the envelope.
- Put into collection basket at Mass, OR put it in the secure giving box outside the church office door, OR mail to the Parish Office.
- Monetary donations can be contributed via WE SHARE.
All donations are due by November 28th in order to meet distribution deadlines to the families. As always, we are very grateful for the generosity of our parishioners at Christmas and throughout the year.
