Ordained a priest of Jesus Christ by the Most Reverend W. Francis Malooly on the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on June 8, 2013, Father Lewis has served as Parochial Vicar at St. John the Beloved Parish, St. Elizabeth Parish and St. Joseph on the Brandywine Parish, all in Wilmington, Delaware. Most recently, he was Administrator of St. Benedict-St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Ridgely and Denton, Maryland. Presently, he is pastor at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Lewes, Delaware.

Prior to ordination, Fr. Lewis taught French language and literature for fourteen years in the Haddon Township School District of New Jersey, where he also initiated several exchange programs with cooperating high schools in Toulouse and Colmar, France.

Spiritual Director for the Diocese of Wilmington’s annual Marian Pilgrimage, Fr. Lewis has an abiding devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and an even deeper devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist. He feels a particular calling to promote devotion to the Holy Spirit. He is grateful and filled with joy to serve the People of God and hopes to live his share in the Priesthood of Jesus Christ in the words of St. John the Baptist: Jesus Christ must increase; I must decrease (John 3:30).
