Update Concerning the Annual Catholic Appeal

It has been challenging for all of us to maintain a sense of normalcy in these COVID times. The Annual Catholic Appeal and our parish are also experiencing a challenge to meet our goals.

We as a parish have always reached and exceeded the Diocesan goals set each year, which excess amount comes directly back to our parish. However, if we do not reach our goal, the parish will be asked to make up the difference.

The parish goal for the Catholic Appeal this year is $146,000 with just over $118,000 in pledges. If the effort ended today, we would need to make up the difference of $28,000 from our parish operating funds.

To those who have contributed, please accept our appreciation for your support and sacrifice. For those who have not yet contributed and are able to do so, we ask you to consider supporting the more than 30 essential ministries funded by the Appeal. No gift is too small to help those in need. Jesus says “Whatever you do for the least of My brethren, you do for Me”. The Annual Catholic Appeal is for those who need our help. Please prayerfully consider responding to this year’s appeal.

On June 1, 2020 you should have received pledge cards and return envelopes in the mail. The Appeal card can be placed in the collection basket at Mass, brought to the office or mailed directly to the Diocesan Development Office. If you need a pledge card or have questions, you can call our office at (302) 644-7300.

Thank you and may God bless you always.
