Way of the Star: A Guided Advent Journal for Prayer and Meditation is a deeply immersive Catholic Advent devotional that teaches you how to pray with scripture, music, art, and imagination. Rooted in musica divina — prayer through sacred music -- this one-of-a-kind Advent experience invites you into a richer, ever-deepening encounter with Christ from the first week of Advent through the octave of Christmas. Created by the Vigil Project, a collective of professional Catholic musicians dedicated to helping the Church encounter God through beauty, Way of the Star is more than a prayer journal. It is a scripture study, imaginative prayer guide, music album, and art experience woven into one cohesive Advent journey.


We will conduct this study in five (5) 90-minute sessions which includes weekly music & video; session overviews; questions & responses; and discussion points. Sessions will be conducted IN-PERSON ONLY in the Christian Formation Center (CFC 31 and 33 if needed) on Wednesday evenings (December 2 – January 6) from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 with Mrs. LeeAnn Augustine, facilitating & leading. (There will be NO SESSION December 23rd)

Registration for "Way of the Star"

• This class is being offered IN-PERSON ONLY and facilitated by Mrs. LeeAnn Augustine (Wednesday PM’s) December 2, 9, 16, 30, and January 6. 


• It is anticipated that participant study materials will be available a few days in-advance of the first session for those wishing to obtain their materials early (barring any shipment delays). Otherwise, all materials will be distributed in-person at the first session(s). Any additional logistical announcements regarding the conduct of the sessions will be forthcoming over the next few weeks. Please check your email frequently.


• Additional donations to “Adult Faith” are always graciously appreciated as they help provide financial assistance for some of our participants as well as formational development for some of our Religious Ed catechists.
